Mauerpark Flea Market (Flohmarkt) is a second hand market that is located on the border of Prenzlauer Berg and Mitte. Open every Sunday, it is one of the most popular flea markets in Berlin and gets jammed packed full of hip Berliners and tourists alike. Here you can rummage through vintage GDR furniture, handmade crafts, clothing and everything in between.
When you’re done shopping, or just need a break, head to one of the dozens of food stalls scattered throughout the area. The Mauerpark flea market has a wide range of food options catering to just about everyone, from bratwurst to corn on the cob, Turkish food and more.
If you show up in the afternoon, the amphitheater next door (in Mauerpark) holds weekly karaoke sessions. They start at 3 p.m. although the crowd of spectators usually arrives earlier. These karaoke sessions are held from spring until autumn. More information about Mauerpark.
During Summer (or anytime the sun decides to come out), this place fills up quickly, so show up before 11am if you want to avoid the crowds.
