Mauerpark is a popular park located at the border of Prenzlauer Berg and Mitte districts. The name of the park comes from the fact that the Berlin Wall or Berliner Mauer,was erected here in 1961. After the Berlin Wall fell in 1989, the area was designated as a public space and opened to the public.

If you choose to take the U-Bahn, both stations are about 10 minutes walk to Mauerpark.
