Tiergarten is a locality that is best known for its large park which shares the same name. Tiergarten houses many parliamentary and governmental buildings and several popular monuments. Tiergarten Park
Tiergarten is a large urban park located in the middle of Berlin. The park is 520 acres (210 hectares) and its origins can be traced back to the 16th century when it was first used as hunting grounds.
Berlin Victory Column
The Berlin Victory Column or Siegessäule is a monument in Tiergarten, near the center of Berlin. It was originally opened in 1873 and survived World War II probably due to its location. The Victory Column remains a major tourist attraction in Berlin to this day.
